Welcome
Welcome to Seoul2Soul Art Studio.
I was given a gift, but never truly appreciated it until I was diagnosed with cancer in 2004. Through-out my cancer journey, while painting in my studio, color gave me a positive and healing energy. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and give that positive energy to others by sharing my artwork. Art has a wonderful and mystical healing power beyond itself. The alchemy of my art reflects how my emotions have evolved through the years since my cancer journey began. Cancer does not define who I am, but it definitely enlightened my outlook of everyday motions, encounters with my surroundings and it has given me reverence for life.
I love that art can bring random people together. I witnessed it during the creation of my artwork which was transformed into a mural in Philadelphia, and while creating a mural at Grand Central Station in New York City in 2014. Art has a kinetic energy which brings people together on so many levels. Artwork can be soothing and therapeutic. Art is electrifying, exciting and is momentous. I feel the vibrant emotions release from my soul, from the moment a vision is conceived, to the moment that vision becomes tangible.
Creativity and inspiration can come from so many forms. Mother Nature is the greatest provider. From the gorgeous colors presented to us everyday which can be softly sublime, to vivaciously vibrant.
My sense of appreciation is absorbed in a billowy white cotton cloud floating in the baby blue sky. I am mesmerized by the sparkling ripples in a pond or the beauty in the droplets of rain radiating like diamonds. I embrace the heady fragrance from a bold magenta flower, delicately swaying in the breeze. I feel the intensity of fire on my skin from an orange sunset or feel the white cool snowflakes tingling on my cheeks.
Feeling the colors which surround my life reflects in each piece of artwork I create.
If you would like to share what inspires you, drop me a line, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for visiting Seoul2Soul Art Studio.
