RED BOOTS

During my cancer treatments my energy diminished tremendously. The fatigue I endured for months. I prayed that my energy would return. The days I laid lifeless while the clocks ticked away the minutes, the hours, the days. I was frightened to think this was how I would be the rest of my life....not be able to live life the way I did before cancer.

Today, my energy is back stronger and bigger then ever. So for anyone who is going through your cancer journey, remember....there is light and energy at the end of the tunnel...give it time.

For me, Red has always symbolized cheerfulness, happiness, energy, emotions, liveliness, fire and love. I decided to paint this series to represent the energy that has returned to my life, and to give hope to others going through their cancer odyssey.
