St. Luke's Hospital Cancer Center

I was diagnosed with breast cancer September 2004. St. Luke's Cancer Center played a big part in my cancer journey with their wonderful healthcare providers and supporting staff members. They gave me hope and kindess with their wonderful
care.
I started donating artwork to be placed in the transfusion rooms and waiting room areas of St. Luke's Cancer Center.
During one of my many meetings with the Assistant Development Director, Gail Evans, I was informed that the
the Lily Oncology on Canvas Exhibit was being hosted by St. Luke's Cancer Center at the Allentown Cancer Center on October 13, 2009.
I was amazed to hear this, and informed Ms. Evans, that I had entered a piece into the Lilly exhibit. Somehow, St. Luke's was able to procured my piece "Ripples for the opening.
It was also requested of me, if St. Luke's could use my painting on their invitations for the opening reception. I was honored to be part of such a wonderful event.
Reflecting back on all those "gray days" laying in bed, I never realized how color would help others. I am so grateful for St. Luke's letting me share my artwork with their patients. The friendship that has forged between myself and St. Luke's Cancer Center is beyond words of appreciation. They gave a dream a
reality.
